Safeguarding Your Relocation: Insurance and Liability Coverage for Moves
At First Choice Movers, we recognize that your belongings carry both financial and sentimental significance. That’s why we provide a range of protection options, in full compliance with federal regulations, empowering you to select the level that best ensures your complete peace of mind.
What is Valuation Coverage?
Valuation coverage isn’t full-fledged insurance; instead, it’s a liability framework that establishes the mover’s accountability for your belongings. As we plan your relocation, we perform a thorough inventory and document the worth of your items, which forms the groundwork for any potential reimbursement calculations.

- Price: Included in the overall moving fee

- Comprehensive Value Protection
- Liability: Repair, replacement, or cash settlement at full value
- Price: Extra charge (generally 1-2% of the declared value)
- Best for: High-value possessions, antiques, and electronics
- Supplementary Insurance from Third-Party Providers
- Liability: Expanded protection tailored to the specific policy
- Best for: Rare or exceptionally valuable belongings
